Swimming Lessons/Registration Set To Commence

Loosened COVID - 19 restrictions under the Province’s declared State of Emergency means swimming lessons are once again now ago.

Initially suspended in November due to tightened Public Health Regulations the Red Cross swimming lessons are set to re-commence at the Kinsmen SportsPlex this coming Monday, March 15th. Public Health has announced groups of up to eight (8) minor participants may engage in activities in one facility.

Swimming lessons for those that were postponed in November will re-commence and the families involved have been notified.

For children not enrolled in swimming lessons at the present time there will be on-line registration available commencing March 18th through the City’s web-site www.moosejaw.ca or the City’s App.

On March 25th enrollment for new swimming lessons for the remainder of the Spring session are open for on-line registration also through the City’s web-site or App.

“We are excited to welcome back families to their Red Cross swimming lessons that were paused in November,” Shelly Howe, Recreation Services Supervisor said in a statement. “Swimming lessons that combine water safety skills and education are an important part of keeping children and families safe in, on and around water.”
