Animal Cruelty Case Adjourned To December 21st

An animal cruelty case which allegedly took place over two years ago was back before Moose Jaw Provincial Court for the third time in the past six weeks.

Robyn Ashley St Laurent is alleged to have willing caused unnecessary suffering to cats and dogs by failing to provide the necessities of life, veterinary care and sanitary conditions in violation of section 451.1 (1) (a) of the Criminal Code of Canada between July 15, 2019 to October 25, 2019.

St Laurent, who did not appear in court, was represented by Legal Aid Defense counsel Suzanne Jeanson who requested an adjournment to December 21st in order to speak to the Crown about the matter.

St Laurent has been released in the community under conditions which include she is suppose to refrain from owning, having custody of or residing in a premises where there are animals or birds.

She is to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
