Chamber Asks For Nominations For New Awards
The COVID - 19 pandemic has been hard on many local businesses with less sales, mandates, a lockdown and finally looking to adapt a business plan due to a virus.
But despite the hardships local businesses have endured so far in the pandemic the Moose Jaw and District Chamber of Commerce would like to recognize those businesses who went above the call of duty so far during the pandemic.
To recognize these businesses the Chamber is holding the LIVE LOVE LOCAL business awards. The awards are in five categories to represent the ways local small business went above the call of duty.
“The idea of the awards is to keep the positive energy going and recognize local small businesses who are going the extra mile during the pandemic,” Rob Clark, CEO of the Chamber said.
The Chamber is asking residents, visitors and anyone else who has had positive interactions with a local business sometime throughout the pandemic to nominate them in one of five categories.
The Five Awards Categories Are:
The Live. Love. Local. Business Ambassador – This award goes to the business who best demonstrated a passion and ability to promote our City beyond City limits.
The Live. Love. Local. Generosity Award – This award goes to the business who, despite dealing with their own struggles during the pandemic, still found time to give back to the community and help others.
The Live. Love. Local. Innovation Award – This award goes to the business who created a new product or service in response to pandemic restrictions or new emerging markets as a result of the pandemic.
The Live. Love. Local. Social Media Award – This award goes to the person/business who got creative and got noticed on social media to drive business.
