Westmount School Has Declared Outbreak
Another COVID - 19 outbreak has been declared by the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) at a Moose Jaw elementary school.
On October 25th an outbreak involving seven people contracting the virus was declared for Westmount School.
No other information was released about the condition of any of those who contracted the virus or measures taken to isolate potential close contacts.
It is unknown if those who contracted the virus are students, staff or visitors to the school.
The SHA defines an outbreak when there are two or more connected cases at a public institution or a workplace.
The month of October was particularly hard on Saskatchewan. October saw 157 COVID - 19 related deaths in Saskatchewan as the pandemic’s fourth wave struck the province.
Additionally the Province started to transport COVID ICU patients to Ontario as well as accepted help from the Canadian military to help relieve the stress on the overburdened health care system.
