O'Toole New Conservative Leader - Local Conservatives Favour Lewis
After three rounds of voting Erin O’Toole is the new leader of the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC).
Conservatives locally however did not select O’Toole as their first or second choices on the ballot but rather the majority of the local 646 CPC members who voted in the leader selection supported Leslyn Lewis.
Lewis, a social conservative as well as an immigrant who came to Canada from Jamaica at the age of five, garnered the most support amongst CPC members in the Moose Jaw - Lake Centre - Lanigan riding.
