Good Weather Helps With Cast Iron Replacement
Prime weather conditions helped with the progress of the Cast Iron Water Main Replacement Program over the past seven days.

The 200 Block of High Street was paved last Friday.
Crews are working on installing the new center median on the 100 block of High Street West as the aesthetic enhancement was approved by Council after debate.
The new center median conforms with the Downtown Local Area Plan approved and additional concrete work will continue early next week.
Paving is anticipated to begin on the 100 block by August 7, weather permitting.
Concrete work continues on the 0 block, with paving of the 0 block and the Main St. intersection to begin following the completion of 100 block paving.
Work continues on 2nd Ave NW between Manitoba St. and High St.
This additional location was approved by City Council and will also include aesthetic enhancements from the Downtown Local Area Plan.
A temporary shutdown will be required to complete the River Street tie-in on Tuesday, August 4.
The contractor will close one westbound lane on Wednesday at Manitoba St. to complete the tie-in work.
All underground pipe has been connected on the 0 to 200 Block of Fairford Street East.
Work is underway on installing additional curb enhancements approved by Council as part of the Downtown Local Area Plan - trees on the north side of the 0 Block of Fairford Street East.
Paving is antitcipated to begin the week of August 10, weather permitting.
The temporary water system has been set up for Stadacona Street East from 6th Avenue NE to 8th Avenue NE.
Traffic is temporarily blocked on this stretch of roadway including the Stadacona Street East and 7th Avenue NE intersection. Detours are in place.
Construction has begun with the stripping of the asphalt roadway.
At the present time residents are not running off of the temporary water supply.
Local businesses in all construction zones remain open.
Crews will return to work on Tuesday morning following the long weekend Saskatchewan Day Holiday.
