Lew Young Seeking Position On Prairie South Board

Prairie South School Divison has its’ third candidate for Subdivision Six as Lew Young has been nominated for re-election. Subdivison Six has five Board Members At Large.

Young is the first incumbent to seek re-election to Prairie South and according to his on-line profile he would be honoured to continue the work to provide the best for students.

“I take my service on the school board very seriously, working to ensure we provide the most up to date resources available to empower and facilitate student learning and achievement. I support the value of Early Childhood Education and have always maintained an open-door policy for parents and staff to contact me with ideas and concerns. I have been part of a number of School Community Councils, and value what I have learned there. I appreciate and value the work of ALL STAFF in our division, especially this year when safety is paramount,” his on-line profile reads.

Young is a long-time resident of Moose Jaw, semi-retired from the profession of Funeral Director. He and his wife are the parents of two children and have two granddaughters attending school in the city.
