Earl Swalm Seeks Council Seat
Moose Jaw now has its’ fourth candidate for councillor as Earl Swalm has thrown his hat into the ring.
According to his profile on the City of Moose Jaw election site Swalm is running on a continued economic development and infrastructure platform.
“Earl’s vision is for continued economic growth. Infrastructure is the “backbone” and long term economic growth will make our community thrive. City services and information should be easy to navigate for our citizens and communication between departments should be seamless,” his on-line profile states.
Swalm is a former business owner having owned Moose Jaw Carpet One Floor & Home for 20 years.
He moved to Moose Jaw in 1990 where he met his wife Christine and has served in executive positions on several community organizations boards.
Swalm served for five years on the board of directors for the Saskatchewan Construction Association, seven years on the board of the Hillcrest Golf Club (3 years as President), and is currently the treasurer of the Moose Jaw Shrine Club in which he has held most all positions over a 20 year period.
