Virtual Open House To Be Held About Future Of 4th Avenue Bridge
Although the Fourth Avenue Bridge (Thunderbird Viaduct) is one of Moose Jaw’s most iconic physical landmarks the spectre of COVID - 19 has the City offering a virtual town hall to accept submissions about the bridge’s future use.
To be held this coming Thursday October 15th at 6:30 pm the virtual open house is designed to provide individuals with information about the bridge rehabilitation project and also provide feedback to the City with perspective and direction on how to extend the life of this historic structure.
The 12:52 on-line presentation deals with three key areas - heritage retention, active transportation and how to accomodate traffic duing the bridge’s revitalization.
Tne revitalization project is at the present time in the development stage so the open house and survey for feedback is important as it allows Moose Jaw residents to have their voices heard.
To register for the virtual presentation contact communications manager Craig Hemmingway: chemingway@moosejaw.ca and a link to the presentation will be provided.
The presentation is also availble on the City of Moose Jaw web-site and may be accessed by clicking here. The City asks those who watch the presentation to take the time and fill out the survey about the project.
The survey is available on-line until October 21, 2020 and may also be accessed through the City of Moose Jaw’s free app.
