Letter Sent To Parents After COVID - 19 Detected In A School

A case of COVID -19 has been diagnosed in a Moose Jaw school.

In a letter sent by email to parents and provided to MJ Independent by a parent Prince Arthur Community School principal Jackie Straub confirms there has been a case of COVID - 19 detected at the school.

The letter stresses there is NO reason to be alarmed as the school’s upgraded cleaning and other procedures means there is low risk for others to become infected. It goes on to advise parents/guardians about what to do if there is illness in their family and to stay home if they feel sick.

The letter also stresses there has been followup with Saskatchewan Health and anyone who had a chance of being in contact has been notified.

MJ Independent spoke to other sources who were able to confirm the letter’s authenticity.

Due to the late hour of receiving the letter no representative from he Prairie South School Division was available for comment.
