Power Off For 30 Minutes Last Evening - What To Do In An Outage

It may have only lasted about 30 minutes but with cold temperatures and high wind chills last evening’s 30 minute power outage was a bit of a wakeup call for area residents.

Last evening’s power outage was caused by a transmission problem and affected Moose Jaw, Caron, Caronport, Buffalo Pound, Bethune, all surrounding communities and rural areas.

Many people are asking how do you known the status of a power outage and how do you know if repairs are undeway?

To find out you go to Twitter and check out the @saskpower account where they will list any known outages and give details on the status of the repairs. If nothing appears in 15 minutes SaskPower asks you report the outage to 306 310-2220.
