Storm Keeps Fire Department Busy
Yesterday's snow storm may have been a busy day for SaskPower crews due to more than a few homes without power. Wet snow laden tree branches knocked down power lines and electrical transformers malfunctioning made for a busy day.
It was also a busy day for the Moose Jaw Fire Department (MJFD).
From 12:21 am Sunday morning to 12:56 am Monday morning (today) the MJFD responded to 41 incidents.
Not all calls were storm/tree/power lines related incidents but the majority to the MJFD were.
In the 24 hour period the majority of calls to the MJFD came within a six hour period.
