Household Hazardous Waste Day Is Coming Soon
Do you have some old chemicals, household cleaners, aerosol cans or maybe an old science experiment out in the garage about to go wrong?
If so there is an opportunity to safely dispose of it in ecologically friendly manner as the City of Moose Jaw is once again holding its Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day.
The annual day is to be held August 24th from 9 am - 3 pm at the City Complex located at 1010 High Street West.
The annual event is highly popular with 369 vehicles attending the City Complex in 2018 to dispose of items which may be hazardous to the environment if simply dumped in the landfill.
An example of some of the items accepted - but not limited to include old batteries, aerosol spray containers, fluorescent light bulbs and liquid household cleaners.
The City would also like to remind residents oil, oil filters, containers and anti-freeze can be disposed of at the City's landfill during regular hours.
Additionally old paint, computers and televisions (electronics) may be taken to SARCAN during regular hours for disposal.
