Miniature Horses Will Be Part Of The Event - Submitted Photo

If you are looking for a great family event and do not mind driving a short distance out of town there is a grand opening of a brand new non-profit organization which s going feature lots of animals and a lot more.

From 11 am - 4 pm Wilson Farms 1884 Foundation Incorporated, in conjunction with Moose Jaw Families For Change, is holding its grand opening out at the farm.

The farm is located 10 miles west of Moose Jaw on the Trans Canada Highway - just before Caronport - and will feature not only goats but also other types of animals in a petting farm. Some of the animals featured are rabbits, chickens, ducks, guinea hens, horses, mini-horses and even a young mini horse colt.

Wilson Farms 1884 Foundation Incorporated is a non-profit which uses animals for interaction with not only people with special needs, but is also aiming at extending the interaction with seniors and children at low or no cost.

As part of the grand opening there is also going to be a special ride around the farm for younger children.

Face painting will also be happening along with some great animal interaction events.

There will also be vendors on site with a cone artist and mini donuts available.

The events take place 10 miles west of Moose Jaw on the Trans Canada Highway. Turn left if you are heading west on the Trans Canada Highway (south side of the highway) at Range Road 283. There will be signs up to guide you to the event.

The event costs $5 for an individual or $15 for a family. All proceeds will be split between the Foundation and Moose Jaw Kinsmen Families For Change Inclusion Centre.
