As of Wednesday evening there were no fire bans at any Provincial Park in the province but that could change quickly if the dry conditions continue.
In Moose Jaw so far in the month of May there has been only 2.1 mm of rain whereas the average is 48 mm.
Hot, dry and windy conditions followed by almost two previous years of drought like conditions has left the Moose Jaw and region with an extreme fire hazard risk.
During the fire ban wood or briquet burning fire pits, fireplaces or barbcue use is not allowed however the use of propane barbecues and heaters is allowed.
The fire ban remains in place until it is lifted.
