Locals Receive Award
Two Moose Jaw emergency services personnel are among 153 recipients of this year's Protective Services Medal.
The local recipients are Chad Scheske a constable with the Moose Jaw Police Service and Dave Hovington who is employed by ATCO at 15 Wing Moose Jaw.
“It is so important that we take time to recognize the courage and dedication that emergency professionals demonstrate in their daily lives,” Provincial Secretary Todd Goudy said in a statement. “They have ensured protection and safety for the citizens of this province and I want to thank them for their service.”
Recipients receive a circular medal surmounted by the St Edward’s crown. The award was established in 2003.
The Protective Services Medal is awarded recognize those with 25 years of service in the emergency services field.
