Province Issues Warning About On-Line Celine Dion Concert Ticket Sales
If you are looking for tickets for Celine Dion's April 25, 2020 concert in Saskatoon the Province wants to remind consumers for the first 48 hours when the tickets go on sale tomorrow (Friday) that tickets may only be purchased from primary sellers such as Ticketmaster or the venue.
The reason for this is to prevent re-sellers or scalpers from artificially driving up prices. Provincial legislation prevents tickets from being re-sold within the 48 hour time limit.
Across North America there was a backlash when people would go on-line only to discover all tickets were immediately sold and being offered at higher prices by re-sellers.
Additionally ticket purchasers are warned to be aware of scams and fake tickets.
Two telltale signs of potential scams are tickets being listed or sold without seat numbers or tickets being sold on-line in US dollars for Canadian shows.
To protect yourself consumers are reminded to purchase tickets on-line with a credit card so that in case of fraud the charges can be reversed.
