City Hard at Work with Power Issue Effecting Crescent Park Pool

The City of Moose Jaw is currently working on a repair timeline to fix a power
issue that has forced the temporary closure of the Phyllis Dewar Outdoor Pool in
Crescent Park.

"The main power service outside the Natatorium building, which houses the
outdoor pool and Crescent Park splash park mechanical equipment, has failed" said Craig Hemingway, on August 7th, in a news release issued to local media.

he added that the City is reviewing repair options and will issue further updates once a repair
timeline is established.

It's a bit of a bummer that the outdoor pool is temporarily out of service, but the city still has plenty of other options for chilling out and cooling down.

The Crescent Park spray park will be manually operational between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily.

And for swimmers, the Kinsmen Sportsplex (855 Macdonald St. W) remains open for
public swimming, and the City’s other two spray parks are also open.
• 1996 Summer Games Spray Park (located at 16th Ave. S.W.)
• Elgin Spray Park (located at 8th Ave N.W. & Hall St. W.)

"The City thanks residents for their patience while we work to resolve this matter and we apologize for any inconvenience.
