By Robert Thomas

A nightly fire show, a dog show, stilt walkers, bubble blowers, jugglers, a farm animal petting zoo with pony rides, bouncy castles and a well-known local magician are the free entertainment at this year‘s Moose Jaw Home Town Fair.

The Moose Jaw Hometown Fair kicks off with the parade on Wednesday evening June 21st at 7 pm with the four day Fair running June 22nd to June 25th inclusive.

“As usual the Fair is a family friendly affair,” George Fowler general manager of the Moose Jaw Exhibition said.

Petting Zoo

“We’ve hired a company and he’s got a lot of barnyard animals that will be great for the kids,” Fowler said.

“He has a lot of smaller animals rabbits, chickens and the like that kids will love,” he said.

The petting zoo will be the opportunity to interact in a supervised manner with the animals.

The petting zoo will also include pony rides for kids and even adults based upon the riders weight and the size of the horse.

Everyone’s Favourite Local Magician Is Back

Well known local magician - Magic By Chris - will be back this year after his stupendous performance at last year’s Hometown Fair.

Chris will be roaming the grounds performing magic to anyone who just stops and asks him to perform.

Last year was Chris’s - a native of Moose Jaw - maiden performance in a fair setting and he was very happy to be able to perform for everyone at what would be his hometown fair.

He will be out and about the fairgrounds, no doubt in his colourful costume and glasses, making him highly recognizable.

A Time To Bounce And Refresh

The bouncy castles are back for another year.

After last year’s success the highly popular indoor attraction is once again happening.

Having the bouncy castles inside the Convention Centre, next to Supermeats concession, allows parents to take a cool break have some food and refreshment while their children have a great time.

Fire Show

Although it won’t be the same performer as last year, there will be a daily fire show at the Moose Jaw Hometown Fair.
