SCRAPS is proud to welcome our friends at “Diversified Services” as our newest partners in joining us in making a difference for Community Cats. Diversified Services is our newest location hosting one of our amazing rescued SCRAPS Cats - sweet “Oprah”!

Oprah has seamlessly slipped (as only a Cat can do)into her new role as a valued team & family member working as both a therapy Cat & friend to the many individuals who arrive to the busy facility daily. She is well recognized as the sleek & shiney house Panther now proudly strolling the halls!

Oprah’s day begins happily greeting all clients & staff as they arrive to Diversified Services for the day. She spends her time SuPURRvising activities, providing many required pets & cuddles as well as doing the odd bit of maintenance “clean up” after snack times! WOW the PURRks that come with the job!

This once lonely & abandoned Cat, part of over 2 dozen Cats rescued from a building on the outskirts of town is now paying back to the same community who helped improve her & so many other Cats & kittens lives by supporting SCRAPS. LOVE truly comes full circle!

Oprah’s easy & motherly disposition makes her the PURRfect candidate for the job. She calmly “patrols” her environment (other than the occasional zoomies ), participates in activities (her choosing of course) and demonstrations the importance (& proper sleep positions) of daily afternoon Catnaps!

SCRAPS dedicated TNR program is not only working hard in our community (since 2011!) helping to improve the lives of homeless Cats but is inspiring education on the importance of spay & neuter. Our team demonstrates how proactively helping our feline friends helps saves “generations” from struggling to survive but how at the same time we as humans benefit too!

THANK YOU to everyone at Diversified Services for welcoming Oprah! We are so excited to hear all the many heartwarming stories about this funny Cat & how she brings laughter, smiles (& often some unexpected excitement) to your days. Thank you for welcoming a once uncared for, unloved, little black Cat to your community & giving her the opportunity to add laughter & Sunshine with her just being her silly self - a CAT!
