Snowed In Comedy Tour This Thursday

By Garret DeLaurier

If you are looking for laughs that reverberate throughout your body then this coming Thursday is your opportunity to do so as the Snowed-In Comedy Tour blows in for its annual run.

“I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend such a cohesive and entertaining show to anyone” says Vancouver Weekly about the Snowed-In Comedy Tour.

Moose Jaw is a regular stop for the Tour where year after year audience members roar with laughter at the Mae Wilson Theatre and then tell about the experience to those who did not make it to the show.

The tour has now grown to be the largest in Canada with 70 cities from Coast to Coast. The tour has now performed in Australia, The US, France, and Switzerland.

The line-up of performers this year includes, hilarious comics such as Dan Quinn, Pete Zadlacher, Erica Sigurdson and Damonde Tschritter.

Tschritter, who is a Vancouver Islander, was very kind and sat down with MJ Independent for a telephone interview.

Tschritter mentioned doing stand-up comedy in Moose Jaw many, many years ago.

“It was at a very dark crappy bar, when I came in the bouncer asked for my ticket, I told him I was the performer.” The bouncer replied with “sucks to be you”.

Since then, Damonde has performed at Moose Jaw’s Mae Wilson Theatre, and enjoys coming to the notoriously friendly city.

“Performing in Moose Jaw is awesome! Great crowds, great people”, says the Vancouver Islander. Damonde’s last show in Moose Jaw was nearly five years ago.

You can check out Damonde’s act from the past below.

You can find Damonde’s podcast “The Micro-dose Podcast” that he does with co-host Paul Myrehaug, who lives in France. Also find him on Instagram and Twitter @slimtschridy and keep and eye out for his comedy special “Comics Delight”.

If you don’t want to be left out of the punchline then tickets are still available.

Tickets may be purchased at the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre’s box office downtown or online at sasktix.ca .

The event will be this Thursday, February 24th at 8 pm.
