Nine Lives Boutique A Purrfect Place For Valentines

It may be cold outside but SCRAPS - MJ would like to remind people that despite the weather they are busy at their store 9 Lives Boutique which is located in the Town and Country Mall.

Open from Noon to 4:00 pm Fridays and Noon to 5:30 pm on Saturdays the Boutique offers a wide variety of not only cat themed items but also useful and hard to find items your cat may well be needing.

A majority of the items are hand made by local volunteers who give their time in this way to help SCRAPS in their mission to help Moose Jaw’s feral feline population.

For Valentine’s the Boutique has many gift for the significant one you love - your cat - for Valentine’s Day.

SCRAPS MJ mission is to assist the city’s feral felines and what many call the community’s cats.

They do this through a spay and neutering program designed to not only to reduce the stray and feral feline population but do so in a more natural and humane manner than the approach more traditional programs might use.

SCRAPS not only returns feral felines to the area they were initially captured but they feed cat colonies and provide veterinary care whenever a member cat may need assistance.

They also do their best to adopt out kittens and more adult cats which are suited to living with people that are able to do so to loving homes.

SCRAPS also offers opportunities to people who cannot adopt but would love to help out by fostering a cat.

Another volunteer opportunity is to help out in the Boutique and be around the cats.

Another popular item has been the locally made cat towers that although heavier they are also more sturdy than many of the products made abroad.

Although the first month is gone by there are still a fee 2021 SCRAPS - MJ calendars available which offer a salute to local frontline workers in the COVID - 19 pandemic and their pets.

All proceeds from the calendar and goods in the Boutique go to assist SCRAPS in their work.
