Lots Of FREE Activities Coming Up At The Library

If you are searching for FREE, educational events with a good twist of fun for the kids, then the Library has some great programs to offer and look forward to.

The Moose Jaw Public Library will be offering children’s programming starting Jan. 12 and running until Mar. 1st, 2022.

Online pre-registration is required for the programs and masks are mandated within the building for individuals over the age of two. Registration can be conducted through the library’s website.

“If your child requires access services to fully participate or you have any inquiries about accessibility, please contact us at your earliest convenience,” said Tina Dolcetti, children’s librarian.

Facebook Live Storytime is held on Tuesdays, Jan. 11-Feb. 15 at 10:30 a.m. and takes place on the Moose Jaw Public Library’s Facebook page.

Join Miss Aislinn Lawreniuk, librarian technician in the Children’s department, and Marty each week as they share a story live.

Preschool Storytime is held on Wednesdays, Jan. 12 to February 16 at 10:30 a.m. in the children’s program room at the library.

The library promises an engaging storytime session featuring books, songs, fingerplays, scarves, flannel boards, puppets, and more.

Grownups will be given the chance to learn ways to talk, sing, read, write and play to increase early reading skills.

Registration is required and begins Jan. 3, 2020, at 9:30 a.m. online through the Moose Jaw Public Library website.

The “Take N Make” programming features a fun and creative hands-on craft kit that children can take home. There is no cost or registration.

The kit will include a craft followed by instructions and word-based activities for school-aged children six to twelve.

Kits will be located at the librarian's circulation desk for pick up. There will be 5 kits in total that will become available.

Snowy Day Collage” consists of creating a lovely snowy day collage. Children are encouraged to take a walk outside and notice sights and sounds then writing a poem using the word snow or snowflake.
