COVID - 19 is a new coronavirus which has never appeared in humans and was recently listed as a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO). A pandemic is the worldwide spread of a disease across several international borders. At the present time Saskatchewan only has two presumptive cases of COVID - 19 and is awaiting final test results to confirm the diagnosis.
Public Health officials have advised the best means to control and/or slow the outbreak is social distancing (staying approximately 6 feet away from others), proper hand washing using soap and water, do not touch your eyes, face or mouth without properly washing your hands first and if you are sick stay at home.
