Saint Agnes Spartans Sweep HTCSD Elementary Basketball Championships

The Holy Trinity Catholic School Division hosted their 2025 basketball championships at Golden Ticket on March 6th.
It was a double match up in girls play between the number two ranked St. Michael Knights and the number one ranked St. Agnes Spartans.
Both teams in the girls’ final finished the regular season at 6-2, setting up an exciting final.
The big court impacted the game to begin with but both teams eventually found their game and settled in. In the end, it was the Spartans coming away with a 38-17 victory.

The boys game featured the 9-1 Spartans versus the 7-3 Knights, and it turned out to be a hard-fought battle.
Both teams exhibited a strong defense which resulted in a low scoring first half.
The second half was much like the first as both teams battled hard and baskets were tough to get.
When the final buzzer sounded it was the Spartans coming away with a 33-23 victory to complete the St. Agnes sweep.
