Mustangs U15 Advance To Provincial Gold Medal Game
In a penalty filled game the Moose Jaw Mustangs defeated the Weyburn Thrashers 5 - 3 to advance to the provincial B U15 lacrosse final on Sunday.
In total both teams wracked up 13 penalties during the game.
Half of the total eight goals scored by both teams in the game - four - were on the powerplay.
The victory is the second straight win for the Mustangs. Earlier the Mustangs defeated the Swift Current Rampage 5 - 4 in overtime.

The first period saw the Mustangs jump out to a 2 - 0 lead.
At 7:33 Kysen Mac Angus scored assisted by Joe Jackson.
The Mustangs rounded out first period scoring when Caiden Arnott scored an unassisted goal with 33 seconds left in the period.

The second period offensively was all Mustangs as they increased their lead 4 - 0.
At 7:57 Caiden Arnott scored his second goal unassisted.
At 3:36 the Mustangs would strike on the powerplay. Connor Livingston scored assisted by Brett Bowerin.

The third period saw the Thrashers finally break out of the box.
At 9:14 Maddox Mohan scored an unassisted goal for Weyburn.
The Thrashers would strike with 1:52 on the powerplay when Leo Missal scored assisted by Maddox Mohan.
With 1:39 left in the game Leo Missal would score a deja vu powerplay goal assisted by Maddox Mohan.
In the final minute with 28 seconds left in the game Caiden Arnott would score a powerplay goal - completing his hat trick - and extinguishing the Thrashers comeback bid.
The final score was Mustangs 5 - Thrashers 3.
