Moose Jaw Players Help Sask Stealth U15 Team Capture Provincial Gold
Eight Moose Jaw lacrosse players helped the South Saskatchewan Stealth U15 team claim the gold medal in the A league provincial lacrosse tournament on Thursday.
Played in Prince Albert - Rylan Deichert, Connor Livingston, Ryder Seiferling, Kyler Pladson, Kyssen Mac Angus, Bentley Messner, Caiden Arnott and Brett Bowerin - all chipped in to secure the gold medal.
The team is made up of players from rural areas and smaller centres - including Moose Jaw - in southern Saskatchewan.
The Stealth needed two victories to secure the provincial title.
The Stealth defeated the Northern Predators 13 - 2 in their first game and then advanced to the gold medal final where they defeated the Saskatoon SWAT 7 - 3.
In the bronze medal game the Regina Barracudas defeated Northern Predators 6 - 3.

The Stealth opened the scoring at 15:41 of the first period on a Jax Brown goal assisted by Kysen Mac Angus.
The Stealth second goal was at 15:27 an unassisted marker by Caiden Arnott.
Cooper Fulton scored for the Stealth at 9:01 unassisted.
Cooper Fulton’s second goal came at 2:10 assisted by Jeff Wallace making the score Stealth 4 and the Predators 0.
The Stealth rounded out the period with a 5 - 0 lead when Bentley Messner scored at 1:10 assisted by Caiden Arnott.
The second period started out all Stealth as Rylan Deichert scored at 14:37 assisted by Caiden Arnott.
Jeff Wallace added to the Stealth lead scoring at 13:04 assisted by Leo Missal.
Ryan Deichert scored at 12:52 assisted by Maddox Morgan making the score Stealth 8 - 0 over the Predators.
The Northern Predators managed to get on the scoreboard at 11:26 when Jake Eggerman scored an unassisted marker.
Moose Jaw’s Ryder Seiferling responded at 7:46 with an unassisted goal for the Stealth.
The Northern Predators scored their second goal at 6:12 by Jake Eggerman assisted by Jaxson Morgan.
The Stealth responded at 5:20 when Jeff Wallace scored assisted by Shiloh Mickler.
Chase Willoughby added an unassisted goal for the Stealth at 2:12.
The third period scoring was all Stealth.
Maddox Mohan scored at 4:10 assisted by Nixon Freisen to make the score 12 - 2 for the Stealth squad.
The 13th goal for the Stealth came at 3:15 when Jasper Baan scored assisted by Jeff Wallace.

South Sask Stealth 7 - Saskatoon SWAT 3
The gold medal game was a much closer affair than the Stealth’s first game with both teams battling head to head into the second period where the provincial gold medal was decided.
The Stealth scored first in the first period.
Jasper Baan opened the scoring with an unassisted goal at 5:08.
With 0:01 left in the period the SWAT team replied when Ethan Medermach scored assisted by Magnus Mackie.
The score was tied 1 - 1 at the end of the period.
The second period saw the Stealth once again take the lead when Jasper Baan scored at 12:40 assisted by Jeff Wallace.
SWAT tied the game at two when Felix Morin scored at 11:43 assisted by Andre Grobler.
The Stealth team would once again jump into the lead at 9:07 when Moose Jaw’s Ryder Seifeling scored assisted by Chayse Willoughby.
The SWAT team would almost immediately once again tie the game when Drew Tolley scored at 8:57 assisted by Jace Cenpon.
The Stealth team would pull away for good at 4:58 when Kysen Mac Angus scored assisted by Jeff Wallace.
An unassisted insurance goal was scored at 4:39 by Jax Brown making the score 5 - 3 for the Stealth.
Moose Jaw’s Bentley Bowerin scored less than a minute later at 4:01 assisted by Caiden Arnott.
Caiden Arnott would add an unassisted goal for the Stealth at 3:06.
The final score was Stealth 7 and SWAT 3.
