Canucks U18 AA Lose A Heartbreaker To The White Sox
The game was close but the Moose Jaw Canucks U18 AAs just couldn’t get the extra couple of runs for a victory in Regina.
Playing against the Regina White Sox the Canucks lost 6 - 5 in a walk off in the final play of the game.
The Canucks and White Sox were tied at 5 - 5 until a single by Memphis Runns drove in a run and a Regina victory.
The Canucks managed to get nine hits compared to five hits by the White Sox.
Tyson Ross had a major offensive game recording three of the Canucks nine hits.
The Canucks got on the scoreboard in the top of first inning when Tyson Ross tagged up.
The White Sox would tie the game at 1 - 1 at the bottom of the third inning.
In the fourth inning the White Sox would go up 3 - 1.
The Canucks would tie the game 3 - 3 in the top of the sixth inning.
The White Sox would respond in the bottom of the sixth inning taking the lead 5 - 3.
The Canucks would respond back in the top of the seventh inning tying the game at 5 - 5.
But the Canucks efforts would go for not when Regina scored the winning run in the seventh inning for a 6 - 5 victory.
The Canucks next game is Thursday July 4th against the Lumsden Cubs.
