Italian Air Force Flyby On Monday

The Italian Air Force Aeronautica Militare Aerobatic Team, better known as the Frecce Tricolori will conduct two flybys over downtown Moose Jaw, on Monday July 22, 2024 at noon.
The Aermacchi MB-339 jets will fly twice between 10:30 am and 11:30 am over the Friendly City at an altitude no lower than 500 feet above the highest point along their route.
The Frecce Tricolori, famous for their smoke trails representing the national colours of Italy, will first be seen coming from Caribou Street West, before looping over the biggest moose in the world, near Trans-Canada Highway.
They will complete their route by flying over Main Street, and finally head towards 15 Wing Moose Jaw, where they will briefly stop for logistical support before heading to the United States for their coming shows.
At the invitation of Lieutenant-General Eric Kenny, Commander of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), the Frecce Tricolori retums to Canada for the first time in 32 years and their visit coincides with the 100th anniversary of the RCAF.
In Canada, the Aeronautica Militare Aerobatic Team have participated in air shows at Bagotville Quebec, Trenton, Ontario and Cold Lake, Alberta, They have also been seen flying over Montreal, Ottawa, Niagara Falls, Vancouver and Edmonton.
Flybys conducted by the Frecce Tricolori are carefully planned and closely controlled for public safety and are dependent upon weather and flying conditions.
