Racing Youth On Motorcycle Charged

Earlier this week, the Moose Jaw Police Service received several reports of dangerous driving in a trailer court in the 1400 block of 9th Avenue Northeast.

The reports indicated that two individuals were speeding and maneuvering on motorcycles in a dangerous way that was endangering residents within the trailer court.

Police were able to apprehend one of the individuals. As a result, Police have charged one youth male with Flight from Police, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and Obstructing a Police

Officer. He also was issued several tickets under the Traffic Safety Act. Additionally, several charges are pending for another youth male.

Through the investigation, Police conducted a search warrant of a residence within the trailer court and seized two motorcycles.

The MJPS does recognize that this type of activity is a concern within the city, and encourages residents to call the Police if they witness actions of this nature.

Police continue to investigate.
