Junior High School Basketball Finals Rescheduled To Thursday

Thursday evening is a big evening as all three finals in the Moose Jaw city league juniors division is set to be played.

The Vanier junior girls will face the Central junior girls at 6:20 pm at Central Collegiate.

The matchup will be Vanier’s attempt to threepeat as league champions in this division.

Immediately following - at 8 pm - the junior girls final the Central Red junior boys team will take on the Peacock junior boys in the league final.

The JV boys final will be played at 6:20 pm as the South Hill Royal Falcons face the Notre Dame Hounds in the JV boys final.

The league would like to remind all spectators there is a $5 admission charge for adults and a $3 charge for HS students to attend these finals.

The finals were set to be played Monday and Tuesday evenings but had to be postponed due to job action by the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation.

As expected with seven basketball games going on - both Senior and Junior - there is no way MJ Independent can’t be at all of them.

We are wondering if the teams or parent could send us a team photo of the winners, as well as a legible copy of the score sheet for publication.
