Peacock Girls Win Provincial High School Curling Crown
Their pool play record wasn’t perfect but the Peacock girls curling team curled perfect where it counted on Saturday earning them the provincial high school girls championship.
Peacock curled to an 11 - 9 rematch victory in the final game against North Battleford Comprehensive High School to hoist the provincial trophy in the Ituna Curling Rink.
The Peacock girls earned a berth into the provincial championship game by defeating Saskatoon Holy Cross 7 - 5.
Holy Cross would go on to beat Yorkton Sacred Heart 12 - 2 to earn the bronze medal.

In pool play on Friday Peacock’s record was 2 - 1.
In their opening game they defeated Yorkton Regional 7 - 5.
Their second game was Peacock’s only loss. They were beat soundly by North Battleford Comprehensive High School 8 - 2.
Peacock’s final game of pool play saw them defeat La Ronge 10 - 1.
