Saskatchewan Lacrosse Team Shutout In Final Game In Tournament
It was a disappointing end for the Saskatchewan Rush Jr U15 team at the National Lacrosse League international tournament in Oakville, Ontario as the Rush ended the tournament winless.
The Saskatoon based Rush team who had three Moose Jaw players - Bentley Messer, Avery Neilson and Brett Bowerin - ended the tournament in a 12 - 0 shutout loss to the Mammoths out of Colorado.
Saskatchewan ends the tournament with a tough 0 - 4 record.
Despite some tough games in the tournament the team reports the international experience in a major tournament was something they enjoyed.
“The kids had fun and made a lot of new friends from all over North America,” MJ Independent was told.

In addition to Bentley Messer, Avery Neilson and Brett Bowerin the Saskatchewan Rush’s U13 team had Ethan Thedroff from Moose Jaw on their team.
The U15 championship at the tournament was won by Calgary Roughnecks who defeated the Toronto Rocks 11 - 6 in the final game.
