Billboard Receives A Low Tech Rebuttal
It seems the great billboard debate has finally reached Moose Jaw.
With the provincial posting their side of the argument when it comes to collective bargaining with the Saskatchewan Teacher’s Federation (STF) rebutting the billboards by stating they are a red herring argument.
According to the STF the majority teachers do not earn this amount of money, and the real issues are not teacher salaries anyhow.

Well it seems the provincial government’s expensive professional billboard ad has a low tech response from a critic.
All it took was a cardboard box and some red paint to fight back against the public message the Billboard portrays.

The provincial government has said the Billboard is appropriate and correct in what states.
These figures are from the 2019-2023 Provincial Collective Bargaining Agreement. The agreement states teachers with four years of post-secondary education and over 10 years of experience are entitled to the $92,000 annual salary.

For their part the STF says that the figures are misleading the public because the majority of teachers make much less than the $92,000 the Billboard states.
The Billboard appeared during the by elections and as such STF has filed a complaint with the chief election’s officer they violated the provincial election act.
The rebuttal to the Billboard it’s just a public display of how heated the negotiations have been between the two parties.
It should be noted MJ Independent has no idea who erected the response that we were told showed up sometime recently during the night. It was simply noticed driving downtown.
