City Closes In On 2,000 Pothole Repairs

Story and Photos by Robert Thomas

The condition of Moose Jaw’s roads and how the battle to repair them is going was once again a question asked by Council.

“As of June 12th we have completed 1,920 pothole repairs,” director of engineer services Bevan Harlton said in response to a question from Councillor Crystal Froese.

At Council’s previous meeting - three weeks ago - Harlton had reported City crews had been able to reach the 1,000 pothole repaired mark.

“It’s an extensive amount of work with no end,” Harlton responded.

BY ALL APPEARANCES BOTH CROSSWALKS WERE PAINTED JUST DAYS PRIOR TO THE POTHOLE CREW COMING BY AND PATCHING OVER SOME OF THE WORK IN BOTH THE SOUTH AND NORTH CROSSWALKS.

IT NEEDS TO NOTED IT NOW APPEARS CROSSWALK PAINTING HAS BEEN SUSPENDED UNTIL THE POTHOLES ARE PATCHED IN THEM - MJ INDEPENDENT PHOTOS
