Lightning End First Day Of Nationals On A Positive Note
The Thunder Creek Volleyball Club’s (TCVC) 15U Lightning team managed to win one of three matchups at Volleyball Canada’s national championships in Regina on Friday.
The Lightning, who finished in eighth place in provincials, lost against their first two opponents.

In their third and final matchup the Lightning managed to win the match two sets to nil.
“We are in Tier 2 power pool play tomorrow out of 5 tiers. We had a great first day, won our last match 2-0, took a bit to sort out our lines in first two matches looking forward to seeing the girls continue to elevate their play tomorrow! We left the courts on a positive note, and we will hit the courts tomorrow am at 730 bright and early!” head coach wrote in a brief note to MJ Independent updating the team’s progress after day one.
Nationals run until Sunday, when they will hold their medal rounds, in Regina.
