Ozog Retires From Fire Department

After a 37 year career Chris Ozog has retired from the Moose Jaw Fire Department.

Ozog was hired on February 3, 1986, as a Firefighter.

He was promoted to Lieutenant on May 1, 2015, to Shift Captain October 1, 2016, and went to his current position as Senior Captain on April 16, 2019.

“Throughout Chris’s career he strived to be a role model and mentor for new employees” Rod Montgomery, Fire Chief said in a statement.

“Chris was remarkably talented mechanically and as a welder that enabled him to assist with the fire department’s fleet maintenance which was greatly appreciated over the years,” Chief Montgomery said.

Ozog was awarded, the 20 Year Exemplary Service Medal in 2006, the Saskatchewan Protective Services Medal in 2011 and his 30 Year Exemplary Service Bar in February 2016.

He has politely declined media comment.
