Toilers Senior Girls Return To Winning Ways Against Lumsden
The second time in as many days was the charm for the Peacock Toilers senior girls team on Thursday as they returned to their winning ways defeating the Lumsden Angels 77 - 68.
This after a disappointing first loss of the season to Vanier on Tuesday evening.
The game saw Peacock take a 13 point lead in the first quarter.
Lumsden outscored Peacock in the second quarter to cut the Toilers’ lead to 11 points.
The Toilers outscored the Angels in the third quarter to increase the lead by 21 points.

Despite the string double digit lead heading into the final quarter Lumsden out scored Peacock 26 points to 14 points making the game a thriller in the final minutes.
The First Quarter Score was Peacock 23 - Lumsden 10.
The Half Time Score was Peacock 43 - Lumsden 32.
The Third Quarter Score was Peacock 63 - Lumsden 42.
The Final Score was Peacock 77 - Lumsden 68.
