Six Accused Allegedly Involved In Robbery, Forcible Confinement And Extortion

At approximately 200 p.m. on November 28, 2023, Police were called to a trailer court within Moose Jaw, following a 911 report of an individual who was being held within a residence and being prevented from leaving.

It was reported to Police that the victim was pulled out of their vehicle and taken into a nearby residence.

While in the residence, the victim was threatened by approximately six of the individuals by way of violence and brandishing weapons.

The victim was able to escape the residence after a short time, suffeing no injuries.

Police have learned that the victim and the six people are known to one another and this attack is not random in nature. There is no danger to the general public.

Following the incident, the Moose Jaw Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Section and Community Policing Division executed a search warrant, which resulted in Jeffey Stuart, 37, Jeremy Fisher, 44, and Marnie Hayter, 47, being arrested and charged with one count each of Robbery, Forcible Confinement, and Extortion.

Additionally, the MJPS has issued arrest warrants for Owen Kretsch, 43, Joseph MacDougall, 41, and Morgan Maier, 21, who were all involved in the incident.

Stuart, Fisher, and Hayter made their first appearance in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Friday December 1, 2023.

Stuart and Fisher have been remanded, while Hayter was released with conditions.

Kretsch, MacDougall, and Maier remain at large.

The incident remains under investigation and more infomation will be provided once it becomes available.
