Safeway\Sobeys Issue Recall On Eve Of Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving dinner is just a few days away but if you purchased your turkey from Safeway you may want to check the brand and weight as there has been a recalled by the grocery giant.

Canada Safeway, owned by Sobeys, has issued a recall notice for Sunrise Grade A Fresh Turkey (5-8 kilograms).

Customers who purchased the bird are asked not to consume it but return it to the store for a full refund.

The same recall notice has also been issued for Sobey’s.

Health Canada on Saturday - after this story was published - issued a recall on the turkeys due to potential spoilage.
