The C Word Returns - Once Again
By Robert Thomas
With all of the problems facing Moose Jaw at the present time the C word is returning to the local vocabulary and this time COVID - 19 is taking off in the health care community.
According to a local health care worker, who asked not to be identified because they are not authorized to speak to the media, there are close to 12 staff members sick at home at the present time.
“COVID is starting to spike. I now wear a mask to protect others as there is a spike of cases at work,” the health care worker told MJ Independent.
The staff off with active cases of COVID cases are at the Crescent View Clinic as well as at the F H Wigmore Hospital.
Additionally family members of a patient report there are patients at the Wigmore with COVID - 19.
We have sent in a request for comment from the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA).
For those who are into conspiracy theories the SHA is offering flu and the new COVID booster immunization clinics but they have nothing to do with the spike in cases amongst health care workers.
