Moose Jaw Set To Be Invaded By Siberian Cold Front

If you have anything you want or need to get done you might want to get it done in the next couple of days as winter is set to return to Moose Jaw this weekend.

And if you have already put away the Stanfields you might want to get them at the ready.

According to Environment Canada's forecast temperatures are expected to take a big drop just in time for the weekend.

Environment Canada's forecast presently shows the high temperature for Friday dropping to a chillier -10 C with temperature further dropping Saturday to a high of -17 C.

The seven day forecast calls for the temperatures to further drop into the new week.

ENVIRONMENT CANADA'S FORECAST IS A CHILLY ONE.

The reason for the drop in temperatures is an arctic high moving into northern Canada from Siberia and extending its icy grip into the Moose Jaw region.

The good thing with the plummeting temperatures is the arctic high pressure will bring the return of sunny skies to Moose Jaw.

The average temperatures for this time of year is daytime highs of -8 C and nighttime lows of -18 C so the weather forecast is calling for below normal temperatures.

But before you complain the polar vortex has dropped temperatures in parts of Siberia to below -60 C in January.

We won’t be that cold for the weekend but temperatures are forecast to drop further on Monday.
