RCMP Musical Ride To Headline Hometown Fair - As Entertainers Lineup Released
With the Moose Jaw Hometown Fair just over two months away (June 23 - 26) the entertainment is booked for what will be the first Fair held in three years due to the COVID - 19 pandemic.
At their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday evening the Moose Jaw Exhibition Company discussed the entertainment acts as well as food vendors already lined up for the June celebration.
Exhibition Company members were told the Fair Committee decided to hold back some spending on entertainment but despite that the Fair is planning to feature some fan favourites as well as new acts to keep fair goers entertained.
“COVID has been our enemy the last two years, normally we are worried about Mother Nature. Mother Nature can make the Fair or break the Fair,” George Fowler Exhibition Company general manager said.
Despite there no longer being Provincial Mandates or Restrictions there are still worries people may not attend the Fair due to concerns about COVID.
“We tried to be realistic this year because we are not quite sure (about the turnout). A lot of people are saying coming out of COVID you are going to be swamped while others are saying people are going to be holding back because they are not quite sure (about the threat of COVID),” Fowler told the meeting.
There may be a cutback in expenditures but the Fair will include everything from world famous entertainment to a well known local act.
The Fair will feature four performances of the RCMP Musical Ride during the Fair. The Mounties will also be participating in the Wednesday evening Moose Jaw Hometown Fair Parade down Main Street North.
On top of the Mounties at the Fair well-known local entertainer Magic by Chris will be performing at the Fair with his own magical skills to delight old and young alike. For a look at this popular local entertainer check out his Facebook Page by clicking the link.

Blast From The Past is a reptile show with three shows daily plus additionally there will be two roving hours including dinosaurs.
For those who want to take a break with the kids there will be Bouncy Castles in the air conditioned Convention Centre where people may enjoy food and refreshments from the Supermeats Concession.
