Devils Defeat Cyclones In Boys Junior Varsity Basketball
The Lumsden Devils squeaked past the Central Cyclones 60 - 56 in Junior Varsity basketball play on Monday evening.
The Devils, who moved from high school senior boys basketball to the Junior Varsity league this season, had a rollercoaster victory against the Cyclones.
The first quarter score was Lumsden 15 - Central 10.
The half time score was Lumsden 24 - Central 25.
The third quarter score was Lumsden 45 - Central 36. The Devils dominated scoring.
The fourth quarter saw the Cyclones mount a comeback attempt scoring 20 points versus 15 points scored by the Devils. But it was not enough to overtake the Devils who hung on for the victory.
