Another Communicable COVID - 19 Case Confirmed At Vanier Collegiate
Another case of COVID - 19 has apparently cropped up at Vanier Collegiate.
In a September 22nd letter (pictured below) from the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) to parents the SHA has issued an alert that a communicable case of the virus was in attendance on September 10, 13 and 14th.
In an earlier letter dated September 19th the SHA alerted parents/guardians about a case which resulted in an order to self isolate for 14 days and monitor for symptoms if not fully vaccinated.
Students in that letter were advised fully vaccinated if they were not they could leave self isolation only to attend in-class learning if they did not have any symptoms. Otherwise they were not allowed to participate in extracurricular activities or be out in the community.
The letter states the parents/guardians of the individual will be contacting any close contacts. A letter was sent by the SHA to the parents of students in affected classrooms the SHA wrote.
The letter advises those who develop symptoms they must immediately isolate and seek testing immediately. Anyone requiring medical care is advised to call their health care provider first to make arrangements so as to prevent the further spread of the virus.
Provincially on Wednesday there were 426 of COVID - 19 with 25 percent of the cases in children under 12. At the present time residents born in 2009 or older are eligible to be vaccinated.
