Weekend Events As We End The First Week Of August
Miniature Horses At The Ex
This weekend the Moose Jaw Exhibition Company - 250 Thatcher Drive East - is hosting the tiniest members of the equine world as the Saskatchewan Mini Horse Club hosts a competitive event.
The annual event features the tiniest members of the horse world who by size alone are often described as the “cutest” horses in the world.
The event will be held in the Golden Mile Arena on both Saturday and Sunday running from 8:30 am to approximately 4:30 pm each day.
The event is open to the general public and is FREE to attend.
Farmers Market At Wakamow
For an initial year the Farmers Market at the Wakamow Valley has been going like gangbusters and easily surpassing the organizer’s wildest expectations.
The market is held in the Skating Oval right across the road from the campground. Follow the signs.
This weekend promises to be another big event as 60 vendors will be in attendance.
The market runs in the skating oval from 9 am to 1 pm on Saturday.
Downtown Farmer’s Market
This is one of the originals in farmer’s markets locally.
The market runs from 8 am to 1 pm on Saturday and is located on Langdon Crescent just in front of the Moose Jaw and District Public Library.
A smaller market but much more well shaded.
9 Lives Boutique
Hosted by SCRAPS - MJ the boutique offers the largest assortment of cat related products in Moose Jaw and likely in the Queen City as well.
Drop in and see what they have to offer and check out the cats available for adoption.
Check out how to volunteer and how you can help them on their mission to help out Moose Jaw’s Feral Feline population.
They are located in the Town and Country Mall - 1235 Main Street North - and are open 12 pm to 5:30 pm on Saturday.
