Wet Weather Delays Fairford Street East Water Main Project

The project to supply water to the SaskPower natural gas fired generating station has run into delays due to the wet weather.

In their latest news release the City of Moose Jaw has given project completion date other than stating the project, which is running a new 16 inch water main down Fairford Street East as well as 290 meters of cast iron water main replacement is behind schedule due to the recent rains.

Late this afternoon a worker could be seen removing a pump in the section between 3rd Avenue NE and 4th Ave NE.

Rains have slowed work on the cast iron watermain replacement and the new service line to the Agri-Food Park. At 5 pm on Friday a worker was seen removing a pump from earlier pumping out heavy rains from the work area along Fairford Street East - MJ Independent photo
