Heritage Day At The WDM
Photos by Annie MacLeod
It was a great day at the Western Development Museum on Saturday as the museum held its annual Heritage Day. The day featured interactive displays and was a big hit with the kids. Here are some photos from the day.
Everyone attending all received a special button.
As part of the interactive displays people learnt the pleasures of hand milking a cow.
Some were all smiles about it….
….while others dove in and got right to work….
…..once the cow was milked then you had more hard work churning the butter…..
….at the end of it all you got freshly churned butter on a cracker.
Back into the days of the ribbon typewriter…..
…..or even further into the past use a quill and an ink pot where penmanship counted
