COVID - 19 Detected In A Second Moose Jaw School

For the second time in as many days a school within the Prairie South School Division (PSSD) has a case of COVID - 19 detected at one of its schools.

This time a case of COVID - 19 was detected at Westmount Elementary School.

In a November 7th letter to all parents from principal Trish Alexander parents have been informed that a case of COVID - 19 has been detected in the school.

The letter goes on to state that a second letter was sent out to parents with children in the classroom where the COVID - 19 case was identified. Public health will be contacting those who were in close contact with the person who contracted COVID - 19.

The letter to parents never identifies if the person who contracted COVID - 19 was a staff member, student or a volunteer.

Anyone with COVID - 19 symptoms is encouraged to call the Health line at 811 for more information.
