Outbreak Declared At Evraz Steel

A major Regina employer, Evraz Steel, which employs a large number of Moose Jaw people has had an outbreak of COVID - 19 declared by Saskatchewan health.

According the Province’s web-site the outbreak the was declared Tuesday and has struck the steel manufacturer. The plant continues to operate.

Saskatchewan Health declares an outbreak when two or more individuals contract COVID - 19 and are linked to a specific facility outside of the home or an event within a specific amount of time.

It is unknown if any of the workers who have contracted COVID - 19 are from Moose Jaw.
